Guitar Hero III replacement discs for the wii...

Should I wait for the uproar of the 3-4 week response time to replace the GH3 disc? Maybe activision will give in and allow advance RMA's. I would have no problem send a CC number to get a disc then sending the old one back AFTER I got the new one.

Has anyone gotten their dics back that they sent in already? What was the turnaround time?

The mono does not really bother me so much.. but would be nice to really crank up the sound. My kids will freak if I tell them they can't play GH3 for 3-4 weeks.

I own the 360 version myself and I wouldn't suggest you do anything you find ethically questionable. However, assuming the fixed discs are already at retail (anyone know?), you could always get a refund on your existing GH3 Wii and just buy a new one in a much shorter amount of time. 3-4 weeks for a disc just to fix an Activision mistake is BS.

Why did you think Toys R Us sold out of wii GH3 when they had the buy SSBB and get 2nd game at 50% off sale?

Everyone was going for the profit from buying it for $45.

I was not aware of that. I was at my local Gamestop 2 days ago, and they had about 15 copies of Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii still. Might head over there tomorrow.

I am going to stop at gamestop on the way home as well. This mono sound has jsut got me depressed and I just can't take it anymore. The $45 will be for my pain and suffering these 3 months I have been playing the game.

so how long does it take to get a replacement disk? i requested for them to replace my disk, but i'm not sure if i want to wait 3-4 weeks to get my game back...
