IGN just put up a preview of Guitar Hero on the DS. Comes with an attachment that plugs into the GBA slot.

I really don't know what to say. It seems bizarre yet interesting at the same tie.

edit: LOL. I just watched commercial for this in the link. If you thought you might look silly playing the full version of Guitar Hero with guitar peripheral, this commercial will give you the impression that you'll look full-blown retarded playing it on the DS.

 WTF?

EDIT: For some reason I was envisioning a mini-guitar, but this is just odd. This is pretty close to playing with a gamepad.

-edit-OIC. It's a seperate title. That would annoy me as well.

Are you confused because it took him that long? I mean, most of us did it after the release of GH3 but some people just don't see the light right away...

I did after Activision wouldn't let me use my GH3 guitar to play on Rock Band and vice versa. Very crappy thing to do IMO. BTW, I love GH games, but I won't be buying any more unless they resolve this issue and stop screwing just PS3 owners.

You must have a PS3. The GH guitar for 360 works fine on Rock Band ... unfortunately the vice versa is not true.

Though I read an article the other day that apparantly there's talks to make a Beatles Guitar Hero. THAT might be totally worth it. Oh please please please let me get one with Zeppelin in it!

I disagree with everyone, I think the "Guitar Grip" is a clever idea that basically looks to give you the "authentic" GH experience on the road. It looks comfortable and easy to use, and isn't too bulky so as to negate the portable-"ness" of it all.

The only thing I didn't like was the meager 20+ songs. I know it's just a DS cart and you can't fit that much onto it, but approximately 25 songs are going to get old very, very fast. Hell, the 60-70 songs on the console versions get old after a few plays through.

It would probably be fun, but you wouldn't catch me playing that thing in public. Blowing on the DS to put out the fire, thereby getting nasty spit all over the screen? no thanks
Also the added bulkiness the little addon would provide would be a headache, and I can't think of how much its going to cost because of it.

Its a novel concept, but since I would only play it at home, or in a safe place where no one could see me, I might as well be playing the original GH on a console.. with a guitar

Yeah, reason why that happened was that rock band developer's could see how activision programmed the guitar for the 360 guitar hero. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the ps3 version :(

If you want to be really technical about it, Rock Band's developers DID the programming on the X360 GH2 guitar.
