I had never played the game before and had only really seen it in the stores, I thought it would be fun so I bought it for my son for Christmas. I sat down to play it earlier today and the next thing I new it was 4 hours later. This game is insanely addicting...I did not get booed off the stage until I got to the Slayer tune, I only attempted it a couple of times as I think my eyes were tired of not blinking.

I will resume my desecration of that plastic Wii guitar in the morning...no work till next Wed.

I played it a bit over the pats couple days -- friend visiting left his Xbox 360 so I could check it out. It's amazing how much easier the game is to play when you are sober. 😱

he actually doesn't like it...too much for him really. We will see if it grows on him in the next couple months.

 
I got the Wii for my "kids" for Christmas and been sneaking GH3 in during their naps. I suck but I am getting better. Long way to go before I can even do medium songs I'm afraid.
 
OP, my guess is you're playing Easy mode. It gets even better in medium, then hard mode.
 
How old is your kid? He doesn't like it? Bah. Maybe he's more of a Dance Dance Revolution type guy...if you catch my drift.

I never played easy mode on any of the GH games. I started playing the first one, which is by far the easiest of them all though.
 
We got it for our 12 yr old son and he loves it. He's probably played a good 10 hours since Christmas morning. He doesn't like giving me a turn because "just one song" turns into about an hour. The Duet mode is awesome. He brought his guitar over to our neighbor's house for Christmas dinner, since they just got it also. It was a blast to play with 2 people at the same time. Some of those base lines are even harder than the guitar parts.
 
LOL - I have been casually playing on Easy for the last couples of day, Today I was rocking pretty hard, getting 99-100%, then I got to and tried Reigning Blood.

OMFG! On Easy, even! I got to ~51% on my best of 3 before my fingers cramped. 😱
