I wish Guitar Hero 3 would go back in stock. I still can't find it anywhere.

meh, same thing happens when a kid spends hours practicing on a real musical instrument, but people seem to appreciate this more for some reason... filthy uncultured masses :p

Nah, just that most accomplished GT'ers and musicians complain that the game is unbeatable.

Pretty impressive that this 9 yr. old slammed it... you see all those 200 notes in a row feats?

I bought it for my kids, but they're still too young for it, so I played it off and on and beat it on medium without having to redo any songs...including the battles. Very proud of my 32 year old self, I started it on Hard and suddenly felt like an old man. I'm assuming it's one of those things where you need to practice a lot and memorize the notes for the songs to beat it and like hell am I gonna do that. Shit.

I have to say, what kept me playing was mostly the songs. The whole game is full of absolutely great ones. I couldn't wait to beat a level and unlock another four songs.

It's not that hard, but then again it is impressive. I've been practicing that song on expert a while now, I can't get past 81%. One of these days I'll beat it.

Actually, the guitar hero version is harder. Guitarists who can play a song perfectly on the real thing cant on guitar hero.

Actually, race car drivers are incredibly good at racing games, because they are simulations. You apparently have not talked to anyone that plays the guitar and has played the game.

Didn't someone on ATOT complain about how people were thinking since he was a real guitarist that he'd be good on Guitar Hero but he totally sucked?...

If not...
*cues South Park episode*

So question then... would you compare Counterstrike or Americas Army as simulations saying people who are good with guns in real life would be equally as good in the game?

They'd probably be amazing at COD4... never get hit once.

Id like to know this too, cuz from that video the kid is just mashing around as fast as he can, he is totally NOT playing the song... I mean, if it were a real guitar of c

Guitar players didnt beat the game because they didnt dedicate themselves, I bet anyone who spends a few days at it can master it easily, like every other game

Now hand over a guitar to that kid and tell him to play an Yngwie Malmsteen solo, maybe in 10 years he can pull it off if lucky

Nope, the only thing that is accurate in GH is strumming, and even that isn't true to life. Guitars involve a lot of finger movement, IE holding different strings and sliding up and down the guitar. GH involves pushing the yellow button and hitting th strum at the right time.

The two are just completely unrelated when it comes down to memorization. Its almost like saying "Can Dance dance revolution make me into an excellent dancer?" or better yet, can playing starwars games teach me how to use the force?
