Yes and no. I still have places in my heart for lighter beers. After working outside in the heat for a couple hours, a stout just doesn't sound appetizing, whereas some thing like a coors light or something of that nature does.

I dunno. Cheap swill and recreation seem to go hand in hand :)

Not necessarily. Stuff like Pilsner Urquell and other traditional lagers are also pretty damn good.
I like some craft ales and other lighter beers. I just find many light beers too "hoppy". Not that I won't drink just about anything. ;)

In general I will always go for the stout or porter first. All of my favorite beers are of the darker variety.

There is no such thing as "too hoppy". I like beers that will tan the inside of your mouth. :D
