There is an example/ demo on the Guiness site.

It releases gas (nitrogen) into the bottle when tilted.

I cannot stand Beer in general... I have only tried American beer and I've heard from my friend European beer tastes a LOT better...

I'm sticking with the Import stuff.. Absolut, Skyy, Choppin.. All great Vodka...

I actucally have a Okocim Beer Glass in front of me right now.. Supposidly very good Polish beer...

Beer is an aquired taste. There are a few different elements to beer and you just haven't found the combination you like. Bitterness, more/less hoppy, lager/stout/porter/etc., sweet, saying you don't like beer is like saying you don't like movies when you really are referring to just chick flicks or something.

Funny you should say that...

I think that's how I started out "liking" Guinness. I figured that if Neal Stephenson liked it enough to mention it in Cryptonomicon, that I should like it too. Only I hadn't tried Guinness before reading the book (back in '99?).

Alas, there is a happy ending. Turns out I actually like drinking the stuff! :D

I'm not really much of a beer connisseur, but I tend to prefer dark beers. The local Famous Dave's restaurant has a chocolate stout on tap that I think is delicious.

i really really really like beer, but i need to try Guinness again for the first time.

quite possibly, my tastebuds just aren't trendy & cool enough to like it. I've had it a few times but never really got it.

I love Irish Carbombs and Snakebites, which I'm sure Guinness lovers feel are abominations.

I remember my first Guinness, my friend and I were scared sh!tless of it because every told us it tasted like motor oil and how it was really thick and nasty. So we went to this really small crappy liquor store up the street from my friends house and the only thing they had were the Guinness Extra stout bottles that were just slightly below room temperature. So we took them back to my friends house, poured them into a nice pint glass and downed them as fast as we could.
After about 5 minutes of just sitting there, I said, damn, that wasn't too bad, so we went to another liquor store and got the Draught Cans, and man o' man I've been in love ever since. Even went to Dublin 2 years ago just so I could go to the Guinness storehouse/musuem.
