GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County.

On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.

One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama. [more]
Time for ppl to WAKE UP and see this is all just a game!!

VOTING MEANS NOTHING -- ITS ALL RIGGED!!

Remember when us liberals said we wanted "scantron" type voting, where you fill out a card and a machine scans it? Conservatives said we were being pussies and that voters have to be smart enough to use a computer.

Doesn't one of Romney's sons own/work for a company that provides the voting machines?

It's more likely that TRUE republican voting fraud were to be made as if Obama did it. Nobody would cheat in their favor, the accusations alone would ruin them. Cheat for the other team, and let those accusations ruin THEM!

That happened here in Tennessee on a live local news feed in 2000. The reporterette voted twice for Bush and twice for Gore, then they printed the report and it came out 3 Gore, 1 Bush. I doubt there's a systematic bias though, probably more like random machine malfunctions. Nothing made by man is perfect.

I literally grew up 5 minutes from Bur-Mil park and go to the area while on leave every 6 months.

Random Machine malfuntions? How fucking hard should it be to do a simple 1 - 2 or on - off type setup? Democrats and Republicans keep crying about voter fraud when shit like this likely causes way more issues than people realize.

Lots of bad touchscreens out there. The one on my Kindle isn't very impressive, for example.

How is it 12 years were still dealing with this shit?

We must get national standards for voting. What's the problem with that?

Private companies should not be involved in voting machines. Inherant conflict of interest.

So we should come up with something like the Council of Presidential Debates? The Council of Presidential Voting, President of the Board: John Boener, VP: Harry Reid, 3 more Republicans and 3 more Democrats.

This. Very this.

If we in Alabama can successfully get this (which we have done...), so can the rest of the states and territories. C'mon folks.

Boxer voted in support of the 2002 Help America Vote Act, which mandated the use of voting machines across the country, among other provisions. On February 18, 2005, Senators Boxer, Hillary Clinton, and Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones introduced the Count Every Vote Act of 2005, which would provide a voter verified paper ballot for every vote cast in electronic voting machines and ensure access to voter verification for all citizens. The bill mandates that this ballot be the official ballot for purposes of a recount. The bill sets a uniform standard for provisional ballots and requires the Federal Election Assistance Commission to issue standards that ensure uniform access to voting machines and trained election personnel in every community. The bill also mandated improved security measures for electronic voting machines.[50] The bill did not pass.

Goofy Californis Liberals.

Really they just got their "hack" mixed up. Instead of Mitt for Mitt amd Barack for Mitt, it came up visa-versa.

Electronic voting machines are only approved of by idiots and fraudsters. If you support electronic voting machines you are one of the two. How do I know this? Because it takes a very very basic understanding of how electronics and computer systems work to know that any sort of machine more complex than an off-on switch can easily be exploited.

A concealed handgun license requires the person to be a legal resident of the state where a college ID does not. If you're not a resident of Texas you're not allowed to vote. I'm sure you already knew this was the case.........right?

But it doesn't sound as good when you disclose all the information like that. How am I supposed to be outraged when there's a simple logical answer to the "problem"?
