i have a level 8 elementalist/warrior on the US servers. i know there's an AT guild (i bumped the official GW thread but no one replied). so if anyone wants to play w/ me or start a character together, LMK! 🙂
 
There was a thread titled something like "ATers in MMOs" that had a list of games that people on AT play and for each game, it had the person's forum name and their in game name. You might want to take a look at that to see who said they played Guild Wars. I know I'm in the Guild Wars portion of the list and I'd help you guys out if you need it.

exactly how I feel, i was amazed at the graphics and everything when i got it, but after my friend gave back my copy of Oblivion... 😀

Funny I got Obliviion and gave up on it in 30min and went and bought GW for the team play... just matters what your looking for🙂

Just reinstalled original GW (Prophencies). Going to start playing again since I have a 3 week break with little to do.

I want to join the AT guild, or at least play with some people. My only real complain with GW is I could never find people to party with and got smoked when I soloed.

I need to start a new character, anyone want to start one with me? I'm going to read some guides since I don't know much about the game, but I'll probably start tonight.

edit: Damn them for not making the new GW games expansions. Factions looks ok, but Nightfall looks even better. I missed the free weekend unfortunately, but no way I'm going to spend $50 on Nightfall. Wish it was like $20.

bumpage to gauge interest in ATers needing or wanting to join a new guild. A bud of mine and I just formed one after ours fractured/merged with a mostly UK guild.

We have hall, nice cape, and are currently farming to stock it with goodies. Kurzick allied. I have an invite to join a 5-member alliance, but we will be discussing future plans more collectively.

The guild is "Dudes Abiding" (dude). As the name implies, we are laid-back and play to have a good time. Looking for mostly mature players; age isn't an issue so long as you aren't easily offended. 😉 Mostly PvE at the moment, but some experienced and willing PvP people are always welcome!

Pm: Zinfamous Son of Zi or Lique My Box and let me know if you are interested...
 
I'd be up for that zinfamous if I ever had any time for GW now that I'm back at school. I played A LOT of GW with Fenixgoon over Christmas break, but now, man I'm lucky to game once a week. And then it's usually a quick game, like a FPS. With some long missions in GW and whatnot, it seems like you need a good 1-2 hours to progress much in GW (I'm not high enough level or skilled enough to do PvP).

Great game though. If I can somehow finish up schoolwork faster as the semester progresses, I'll PM you.
 
don't sweat it...the good thing is you can take breaks with it and not miss much. if you have factions, leveling-up is a breeze. There's only 2 of us in the guild now, anyway. Once we get a few more, there should be a good stable of people willing to help out...
 
I just finished a computer so that me and my wife could play GW again. 🙂 We have three account, all with Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. So if we have spare time, we are usually playing. 🙂

Accoutn 3 is Fullmetal Chocobo (guess)
 
I play occasionally but I don't know wtf I'm doing. I only have a level 7 Ranger and it takes her like, 15 arrow shots to kill a level 4 anything? Is this right? Should I have found much better bows by now? I would think a Lvl 7 should be all over a Lvl 4 enemy but this is ridiculous. Even when I use the power shot or whatever it is, it takes forever to kill one thing half my level.

Oh yeah, my characters are "Ms Malksentra" and "Voldemorts Wench". I'm on every other day for small amounts of time, until I find out why I can't deal any damage.

i am not sure i always had problems with item based classes, i switched to elementalist or whatever with massive AoEs etc and was able to level and farm items really fast in this one area, I haven't played in awhile though and nightfall seems wicked cool so I may have to try it out again sometime.

Nah...lvl 7 should deal pretty low damage, plus you have to get some elite skills for rangers to be damage dealers. they aren't heavy damage anyway...one of the reasons why my ranger is collecting dust
