Judging by those pics, if you ask me, there's no question... GW FTW. I don't care how much closer to reality EQ2's engine might be... GW's engine is just downright GORGEOUS... especially how fast it runs. Never had problems with textures myself... they definitly look like crap with the settings turned down, but I think they look great with the settings cranked. I know this sounds bad but... I'd almost prefer SB's graphics to EQ2's.

I haven't played EQ2 or WOW, but I can't believe people are saying the graphics in GW aren't any good. It runs very well, loads very fast, and is all-around quite polished. I have a quite slow system compared to a lot of people on here, but I run 1680x1050 with mid details smoothly.

edit: I didn't know for sure before how GW handled widescreen so I just checked the WS Gaming master list. Unforuntately it's vert-, so you don't go extra viewing area. Bah that suckls. I was guessing that it was Hor+ this whole time till I actually looked. I bet it would look killer if you got a wider view!!

I think I prefer GW too, but only because EQ2 lacks actual skin texture at all, which makes it look kinda lame. They did a wonderful job with monsters, buildings, armor, spells, etc.

You know, to be honest, I'm really looking forward to Hellgate the most, even more than Oblivion. All the gameplay that all of those games are missing, plus better graphics than all of them.

Guild Wars, is fun to get through with your first and second characters.

That could be the reason for my dislike of EQ2 graphics, a single tone for the skin. It is like they didn't apply any texture.

However even in that screenshot I can't see any bright or vibrant colors. Everything is dull except for the snake at the very front.

Sure WoW is cartoony, but at least it has color.

I have a copy I don't use.

It's very boring IMHO.
(I live in Denmark so shipping to US is around $30)

I've had GW since September and I've had fun playing it so far. I'm starting to find it a little boring because my friends recently bought the game are still trying to work their way to ascension. So unless I'm helping them along, I basically end up roaming around the Desert or S. Shiverpeaks with henches. Once they ascend, I'm sure it will be more fun as then I'll have some people to go into Sorrow's Furnace, Underworld, and Fissure of Woe with.
