I brought the game two days ago and I'm hooked to it. Thank god I have finals today and I'll be all done with school. I love the graphics, and the gameplay. What's your thoughts on this? I'll post some of my screenshots as soon I finish my FINALS.

Have fun!

It's a lot longer game that i thought... at least if you solo 95% of the time (i play at work... so if i was to group, it's usually with coworkers). It's also can be very repetitive at times. But the story is very well done, so i'll be finishing it just to see how it ends (currently level 14).

I really like it. This is the first game where I like the PvP. And I like the PvP here a lot. No ganking, no griefing just honorable arena PvP. Im too intruiged with the many possibalites in skill mix to get any one character very high but I'm having fun.

Luigi1 - What's PvP in general like? I know World of Warcraft PvP system, if u know then the differences are? I'll be a bit busy to play for a while so I would like to know beforehand...

Lvl 14 puts you at about 1/3 of the way through. I played all the betas and even I am surprised at how much they added between the last few betas and release. Truly a great game.

Youre level 7? I assume youve gone post searing? The arena PvP is just like the match you did when you entered the acamedy. If youve done the ambassodores quest to help the orphange the arena entrence is close to the orphange lady. That arena is level 1-10 so at 7 you wont be out of your depth. The arena is ramdomally assembled 4X4. No auto rez here bring your signet. The arena at yaks bend is level 10-15. Thats as high as ive found.

Story is free MMORPG, correct? So as far as completion, there is actually an end goal or is it always open-ended with new quests?

This game is huge. And beautiful. And fun.

And for an rpg game, there is a huge amount of strategy game at the tactical level.

Im upto level 10 and already bored...

THIS GAME IS THE SHALLOWEST OF THE SHALLOW!!!!

This is NOT a mmorpg its a MOG

There is no depth to the game at all, yes the storyline is quite nice but everything in between is just crap!

I mean there is no jump FFS!

You can't even run down slopes.... you run around an environment that whilst rendered well, is VERY VERY LIMITED. In a mmorpg you might see a nice mountain and just run up there for view and and the freedom to do so.... not in GW you cannot stray of a very strict path most the time making movement a pain in the ass.

Its a point and click fest - 3D-Diablo plain and simple. I do like the skills system to an extent, but really am never motivated to use it to go kill the same handful of creatures having to repeat kill every monster (knowing exactly when they are going to spawn and where) every time I leave town. IT's Like having to play level 1 over again everytime i start the game

Sounds like Seeruk is stuck in pre-ascalon or isn't doing the missions. The game is extremely boring if you simply wander the wilderness for hours on end. I highly recommend not doing this.

I've done every mission along the way (seeing as how the cap is level 20 it's necessary in order to make the game last longer than 2 days!) - in fact was out of pre-ascalon within about 2 hours.

Cmon you cant tell me you dont find it incredibly dull to get a mission miles away, and have to fight and kill the exact same monsters on the way (not to mention a 2nd or 3rd or 4th time in one sitting if you happen to die and not get a rez)?

Its like a single player game that forces you to start at the beginning of the entire game every time you need to go back to town.

Bizarre to say the least

Keep playing until you get to Yak's Bend. The game really turned great for me about that time. GW is so worth $40, I am amazed. I was in beta phase 1 and phase 2 but had not played it again until retail. I can't believe how huge the place is. Bigger than WoW, hah.

I will be playing for a little while longer... I'm not one who plays for five minutes and gives says that game sucks...

But having played for 20 odd hours I'm still thinking this game sucks and once I feel I have had enough of my £30 worth I'll probably be dispatching it towards the bin.

Currently ive made lv 20 a week ago but im still busy finishing up the main story. Its a great game i think, good hack n slasher thats free to play online.

What i like about it, is that i can play for a few mins to a few hrs and not feel rushed by other players to group. If i want, an all henchmen group is possible as well. Speaking of the henchmen, they are actually very good in completing certain missions when im tired of failing that same mision over and over cuz of a few stupid players that run full bore into a cluster of lv 21 ettins getting us all wiped out after an hr into the mission... i sooo hate that crap.

Currently im around / passed The Amnoon Oasis and having a blast
