i know like a million people are going to not follow me but does anyone like guild wars rather then world of warcraft? I played both and wow is a better mmo but i dont know i just like guild wars more

Well, they are totally different experiences. But if I had to pick only one I'd probably say WoW simply because I don't believe Guild Wars' pros outweigh it's cons.

I played WoW since about the last week of beta, then took a break over the summer because I got tired of my main character. ALso needed to just take a break.

I started playing Guild Wars. I really didn't enjoy it much.

Now that it's cold out again here in MN, I'm back into WoW on a new realm trying some new types of characters. Having fun again.

I prefer WoW for sure.

Can anybody identify what they like better over WoW?

I have Guild Wars, and admittedly I haven't been able to sit down enough with it to distract me from WoW. I like the graphics for GW better, but as we all know that doesn't make the game. The companyOne thing I can't seem to get into is the class system, where in a nutshell you choose a primary and secondary class. I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to embrace it, though it is unique.

guild wars has more balanced pvp, that's all. you have set maps, set abilities, pretty equal gear, and choose from that. but guild wars pvp is also instance-only. in wow, you can do instanced pvp or you can travel through the world and encounter people at any time in any place so there's a little more variety in combat situations. pve in wow is way better too

It's hard to explain, but I really enjoy the "continuous world" of an MMO. All other games, you are basically just playing a disposable instance of the game, but with an MMO you are logging into the same world each time that goes on without you while you're not there.

i dont know, yes i will say wow is a lot better but still i think the pvp
is awesome in guild and wow is good too but i just like how guild wars plays and
looks. but yes as a game wow does own its face off. I just like guild more

My friend has played guild wars everyday for 4 months already, and he still loves it. He let me play for a while and i enjoyed it, its alot different that WoW. Which one is better? WoW probably but if you want a free MMO guild wars is great.

Guild Wars is free.
NO game is good enough that I should have to keep paying to play it.

I love Deus Ex and Baldurs Gate and Knights of the Old Republic. But I would not even consider paying a fee every month I wanted to play them. Those games are also much better than WoW or Everquest or SW:G.

I only got that feeling when it came to games that actually had either a continuing storyline daily or a community that really played with each other. The only two games I noticed that in was MXO and EVE.
