Guild Wars Tips

Any super common class or combos to avoid ?
also, does the class.. err profession sorry affect your abilities to get groups later like in WOW/EQ games ? IE "We can never find enough class XY" or "Jeeze there are 2 billion AB's LFG and no XY's"

Do not, I repeat Do Not make a warrior/monk. Monk primary are healers and as in all games are allways in demand. Other than that the classes are really well ballanced. Make what ever you like.

I have to say from my experience there are never enough healing monks so right when I enter a map I have a bunch of invites before the map even finishes up loading lol. But don't pick your class based on that. Pick your class based on how you would prefer to play.

How are the attitudes in this game? Are the servers too crowded, and are there tons of irritating people? I know it's the internet but is this game worse than others? Thanks.

I think I am going to try a ranger/X variant. Thanks again for the tips.

Wow great advice heh. I remembered this going in, I am level 10 now. Every other char I see is a W/MO. It always seems like when someone is acting like a complete A$$ in a group or being otherwise annoying in the towns it is a W/MO. Not to say ALL are like that, it just seems like this combo attracts the *OMG lolzer* players.

Its funny how online games have certain classes like that. I remember in EQ back in the day it was Druids. Again, there were lots of awesome people playing the class, it just seemed like there was something about it that attracted the maturity challenged players.

Are there classes like this in WoW ?

I wonder, is it because there is an unproporionally high amount of thse classes vs the others, or is there something about the class combo that attracts these people ?

Might be an interesting sociology experiment if any majors looking for a thesis
😉

huh, i made a W/Mo and i've resorted to soloing because other players are...shall we say, less than polite?
so if you want to be popular, don't make a W/Mo. i say do what you want. try everything out. after all, you shelled out enough $$$ for the game, right? 🙂
the "community" is not that great, but otherwise it's fine as long as you have some people you know and voice comms.

I made a Warrior/Necro.

Me too. Good class. You can fight and dish out nasty spells, then heal yourself while doing more damage. 🙂
And if you ever need extra help, just summon some.

Oh in response to the OP:
I find less people and less irritating people on the international servers. And my framerate isnt killed by masses of bodies with different clothing.

I have a level 20, ascended, infused armor Ranger/Elementalist. He's good for dishing out ranged damage, but because there's so many Rangers out there already, and I don't have too much to offer a team except killing ability, I've found it's hard to get team invites without a little begging beforehand.

So I've made a Monk/Mesmer - he's up to level 13 and is pretty much the life of the party (pardon the pun) wherever he goes.

I guess when I'm done with that build I'll try the last two classes... I'm thinking Warrior/Necro like the rest of you in this thread.
