Guild Wars people!

I'm new to the Guild Wars scene / total freaking nub - and I want to get directly into PvP.

For some reason during character creation for PvP, I was unable to select any skills - I suspect this is because I dont have any quests completed?

Also, is there anyone I could play with? I really need some people to get hooked up with

I'll be playing a pure elementalist.

You unlock the skills through playing the PvE version. I think now you may actually be able to unlock stuff through winning at PvP per a recent game update. In any case, you'll start off with only the most basic skills and equipment so you'll probably want to explore the PvE first.

The reason no skills are open is because you have to earn them in the game using a role-playing character first before you can use them in PVP. If you want I can talk to my guild leader about you joining our guild, which is full of cool people that are willing to help out.

I'll be honest - I want to start my own guild eventually, so if I do join your guild, I want to make it clear :/. Also, I would love to take up your suggestion. I don't really know the ups and downs of the second profession, so I'm going pure elementalist for now.

My name is Crystania Khaelzyr. Yes yes, I am playing a female character, but I prefer to watch a female running around for hours on end rather than a male. I also like to see a girl kicking arse, since girls in reality suck at it so much *blinks innocently*.

walla was also right when he said earlier that you can earn the skills from doing a lot of PVP matches, I totally forgot about that update that they made.

Guilds are useful to join early on in that we can help you get through the quests easier, and make it more enjoyable in that you are playing the game with a good group of people. Guild matches are also a lot of fun. To join my guild specifically, send a whisper message in game to my guild leader, his username in the game is "Don Tobin", he'll give you the facts on joining. To add me on your friends list, press "n", then just add me onto your friends list (my username is Aurora Knight). See ya later!

man, they need to make an expansion quick, i am almost done with the game.... still in southern shiverpeaks though.

i play way to much, have a element/monk that has finished the game, monk/element that is a bit over half way, already level 20. and a warrior/necro that will probably get deleted. i'm PvE only with no interest in PvP atm. my guild is very inactive since it's just a couple people i know from City fo Heroes that play when not playing COH. i'd also be interested in joining a new guild since i'm looking to start doing underworld/fissure runs and pick ups suck.

If you think it makes you cool, have fun. Just so you know, there are NO penalties for taking on a second class.

Yeah, I had the misconception that there was. I *have* to take a second class for PvE anyways, so I went Mesmer. I've been wondering how I would fare as a Air/Domination Magic/Energy Storage mixup. I could simply go Air/Domination Magic/Earth as well.
