One

Two

Correct Rendering

I get some of both, the game+drivers like to mix it up for me.

Nice huh? What do you think of that?!?! Same at stock speeds. Not to mention the OH SO AWESOME shimmering....

This is with HQ enabled in the drivers and transparency supersampling 4x + 8x AF enabled.

Evidently, 79.11's are the driver of choice right now that doesn't exhibit this problem. Thanks to Avalon and everyone who contributed :)

How is the game btw? I wanna buy it but how many hours does it provide and does it have high replayability or do you just end up going through the quests if you go a different class?

Pretty fun, I am on my first time through though, I am sure others have more advanced opinions, but I am up to about 12 hours already. Also, you get different subquests based on your choice of skills and the styles are VERY different from what I can tell.

Depends what Kind of player you are. This isn't hack and slash. The quests are quite tedious. Provided me with about 100 hours before I quit and sold the cd key to my friend. I was obviously expecting a more fast paced cookie cutter solo game.

Yea for some reason the 81.85 drivers are borked to hell and back, my 7800GT did not like them even when i put it back on stock speeds, even with my CPU at stock....nothing, rolled bakc to 81.84's

Basically whatever game I loaded, DOD:Source, AOE3, Far Cry etc etc they'd all hard lock and freeze after about 5 minutes.....I thought I was overheating by my temp probe wasnt reporting any issues for anything....eh well at least 81.84's are good

Well currently I'm playing Dungeon Siege II, I loooove hack and slash, sounds like its the game for me :p. Dungeo Siege I and Diablo series is good too, but dungeon siege >>> Diablo.

Gonna buy neverwinter nights soon, anyone recommend?

yes...

just kidding

I'm not the expert in updating your driver but did you use driver cleaner? How do most of you successfully update your video driver?

Why the hell do people call this a shadow problem? It is the texture blending that is ruined. I decided to upgrade my NVIDIA drivers back to 77.77 due to this problem.

Same thing for me. BF 2 was fine but DOD-S crashed always after 5 min. Rolled back to 78.03's

I too am having this problem with GW on my 6800nu agp. it started appearing when using 81.84 and up driver. the only solution that i know to fix this problem is changing the settings of AA from your current one to no AA and then back to the original settings (i.e. from 4xAA to 0AA then back to 4xAA). but when i map to other cities, it starts appearing again.

Edit: Added some pics

I got this with the 81.84 beta drivers. changing the settings (high to low, and back) fixes it for me, but I just switched to the 77.77 drivers and its all good now.

NWN is a great game but don't expect it in the same hack and slash vein as any of those games.

If only I would have gotten in on the shimmering thread :|

Shimmers are ALMOST gone with the tweaksrus 81.85v2's... no longer sickening, rather just annoying if I look for it. Still have to love the awesome texture layout though
