Can we have a subforum for computer (hardware/software/general/maybe even off topic (non-computer) stuff like weightlifting, car maintenance, etc) guides where people can create guides for others to read?

and... what exactly is wrong with creating the "guide" .. as a post in the proper forum?

Weightlifting --> Health & Fitness
Car Maintenance --> The Garage
Hardware --> General Hardware or the respective Hardware Specific forum
Software --> Software specific forum

I believe we may now actually be looking at reducing the number of sub-forums, so it's highly doubtful the 'Powers-That-Be' will create a new one. (If I'm wrong hopefully someone above me in the food chain will stop by to correct me.)

Therefore, I suggest you post whatever guide you feel like creating in the most appropriate existing sub-forum (as was suggested above by guyver01).
