GUI For Kids

I just built my kids a win2k machine and I was wondering if there were any GUI replacements or anything to make the computer more logical for a 4 year old. Mostly, she will just pop a Blues Clues cd in and it will autorun, but it might be nice for her to learn along the way.

Don't worry about it. Kids don't have any problem learning the 'illogical' GUI all of us are stuck with. Small children view all learning processes as illogical because they have not yet internalized a more sophisticated view of cause and effect. I would reccomend keeping a ghosted image handy to fix the machine frequently after 'learning sessions' though.

Best for them to learn the Windows GUI as is so they dont feel lost on other machines once they are in school and such

Well...
I was planning on just using a live linux cd, but I'm not sure how easy it will be for them to play their games.
