I'm pretty sure that the only ten questions that would reliably lead to figuring out a name would be "What is the first letter of your name," "What is the second letter of your name," etc. I mean, what the fuck does "Do you feel older, younger or the same" even mean? "Oh, you feel older, your middle name must be Aeschylus!" Fucking nonsense.

Guessed mine is Joseph. Not even close. As a matter of fact none of those letters are in my middle name.

Every time this comes up it boggles my mind. It wouldn't even occur to me to name my kid after a person or character in any kind of media. I might end up coming up with a name that happens to be some character or other, but it wouldn't be intentional. Kinda hard to avoid it given the amount of stuff out there really.

I know two girls that named their kids after characters in video games :(.

Very silly...

Just repeated the "test" with the exact same question answers...

Different middle name guessed this time, not even closely related to the first guess.

I am dumber now for having knowledge of that website.

You've got to pick a name somehow, might as well be one you saw in some form of entertainment. My daughter is named after a character from a movie, but a movie that was 40 years old at the time she was born. I wouldn't name my kid after a pop star so they end up with the same name as every other kid their age.

Of course, it seems to have peaked in popularity at the time the movie was released, LOL.

As for the site in the OP, this sounds like they're getting users to profile themselves for free. Data mining on the cheap.

WTF?! I don't have facebook, and I keep a low profile everywhere, but it guessed my not terribly common nickname. I wonder where they get their data from?

Edit:
Maybe it's just a coincidence. My nickname isn't weird, I just seldom hear it around :^/

Yeah, it missed me by a mile, too. Daniel. LOL! No one on either side of my family has anyone named Daniel.

You don't hear people calling you "Doofus" that often simply because they're being polite. :p

A lot of the quizzes and third-party games posted on Facebook are market research or data harvesting companies. That entire site is just one big psychological experiment, too, from what Facebook collects on top of that.

It got the first letter right. But it wouldn't have if my parents had given me the middle name they originally planned. They changed it because my initials would have been those of the Soviet secret police!
