Afterwards, it really depends on if they gives an extra month to crunch after stopping delivering wu or not, but if they do it should be 30.04.2004 at 23:59:59 UTC.

Of course, 17.05.2004 is 5th anniversary from official launch, so this can also be the cut-off-date. :)

This is probably the best date for the Mainstream News Media to pick this up because of the Lead In Lines like this:

"5 years after launching one of the best efforts in the search for ET and the most successful deployment of what was then a new Technology using the idle time of individual PC's called Distributed Computing, the SETI@Home Project re-invents itself with a new and improved version of the Technology that is open for all projects to help Mankind."
