here is a quote, Tell me who said it and does it apply to todays times

"The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty to revive in the nation the spirit
of unity and cooperation. It will preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been
built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national morality, and the family as the basis of national life"

?Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity...And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.?

OMG!!! George Washington = Hitler!!! :Q

actually im not comparing anyone to hitler. nobody is tat evil. The point is leaders have sed religion and morality too swap the poplace behind them many times before. Its hard for people and to not be on the side of "their religion" or morality and family values.

but religion, morality and family values are all things that I believe in stongly. My morals, my family, my religion. I question people who use these as an opiate of the masses.

You forgot to add the last part of the quote...

"Now, people of Germany, give us four years and then pass judgment upon us. In accordance with Field Marshal von Hindenburg's command we shall begin now. May God Almighty give our work His blessing, strengthen our purpose, and endow us with wisdom and the trust of our people, for we are fighting not for ourselves but for Germany. "

Damn just replace Germany with America.... And have 55million religious phreaks screaming four more years....

Kinda scary eh?
