BINGO. How did you find out?

Google. I assume it has something to do with 100 Years of Solitude by Marquez, which now that I think about it I did read in college.

Exactly. Arcadio is a character in that novel. Marquez is Colombian, of course.

Reps for life.

I'd love to see any visual evidence you might have for this...

I always thought he was Mexican. Shoot I read the book just a couple weeks ago and thought he was Mexican. I'm out of the loop I guess.

I thought the same thing. Never finished the book, but I did always think he was Mexican.

Honestly I thought he was too. I thought I remembered talking about him in terms of being from Mexico in the class in which we read the book.

Damn.. Gabriel Garcia Marquez is the most important writer in all of Colombia. He won the Nobel Prize and all. Colombian 100%

He lived in mexico for a while. He regrets it, though.

Didn't he either write or direct a movie (or perhaps it was based on a book by him) about a modern woman and a historic soldier having a romance across time through a mirror?

Sorry to say, but whenever I think of Colombia, all I think of is either drugs or that poor soccer player that was killed.
