ROFL that would be challanging..

trying to keep your system as min as possible to run the program.

What's the IGP inside that eeePC? If it's the 9xx series the full test suite wouldn't work - those IGPs are not SM3 compliant.

I was bored, so I decided to see just how low I could go with my laptop. I downclocked its T7300 to 800MHz, and fired up Orthos and OCCT GPU in the background as well. Ended up scoring 90. As in, ninety 3d marks. I've never seen a double digit score before. This is with an X3100 (intel 965) IGP, by the way.

Average framerates for the tests were around 0.2-0.3fps. (sm2 score = 33, sm2 = 29, cpu = 499)

edit: whoops, completely forgot to boost Orthos's priority. I'm rerunning 3dmark now with Orthos at max priority. This could take a while... it took about 15 minutes to bring up the loading screen after I clicked the button to start the test.

Bleh you are running multiple benchmarks though. It should be minimum achievable score. I have a Athlon 650MHz with Rage3D although I suspect I'll get higher than 90 3dmarks.

Yeah, I guess I kinda cheated by running stuff in the background. I gave up on running it with Orthos at max priority though; I'm pretty sure it froze on me.

Also, I don't think your Rage would run 3dmark06 at all (seeing as to how you need SM3 for the full test).

HAHA!

nice try...

when i said that i didn't even think about running othos/OCCT in background to cripple the score, was just thinking about the lowest possible settings / hardware to pass 3dmark06.
