Was waiting to see if CES was going to show anything that made more sense than getting a cheap Android-on-a-stick this week. It may still happen, but I'm pretty sure this isn't it.

Like ChromeOS, GoogleTV needs a lot more attention and integration into mainline Android from Google.

I'm sure there are plenty of cheap "Android-on-a-stick" products at CES. What you're waiting for is good "Android-on-a-stick" which is a different thing entirely. Plus, I wouldn't bother with any Google TV product until it has the Nexus brand. Unless Google is willing to put its own name on it, it's not worth your money, much like how the original Motorola Xoom was a flop.

The only thing I need my "Android on a stick" to do is play movies off the mSD card, and it does. :)

I'm still waiting for Android device with full hardware acceleration 1080p XBMC support. Until then, I'm not interested.

Does Google TV have access to the full Google Play store now and can run most Android apps? Seems like I remember Google TVs had a really limited app selection in the past, so I've ignored them.

Eh, no. The MX1 and the like *are* pretty good Androids-on-sticks; what they aren't is optimized to 10' Android use.

I can run Android handheld/tablet stuff or stick to XBMC, but I'd really like the best of both.
