Guess how these CEOs ranked in 2010 compensation

See if you can guess how these retailer CEOs did in relation to each other, based on 2010 total compensation. The spoiler tags hide the amount they got paid. Heck, if you can even pick the top and bottom of this group correctly, I'd be impressed.

Overstock
$171,300
ThinkGeek
$2,488,274
Home Shopping Network
$12,147,556
BlueNile
$1,735,619
Netflix
$5,516,643
VistaPrint
$6,527,364

[edited to clarify it is total compensation, not just salary]

I guessed number one correctly. I had BlueNile and VistaPrint at the bottom cause I've never heard of them... little bit off there.

The CEO at Overstock.com seems to believe in the Japanese philosophy of CEO pay being structured more in line with worker's salaries... But he also has huge stock holdings of the company, so I guess he doesn't need a large salary.

Either Overstock runs a very tight ship, or else that's a darned modest CEO.

That's common. If the CEO owns a lot stock his compensation is increase in the stock price as the result of their actions. afaik, both Steve jobs and Jeff bezos had token salaries.

There was an article I read recently about how the writers father used to be an electrician back in the 1970s. His dad used to make about $40,000 a year which is
the equivalent of $142,000 today.

In 2011, electricians in DFW still average about $40,000 per year, while CEOs make obscene amounts of money for firing people, moving production overeas and doing things they would not have even dreamed of back in the 70s. That includes screwing each other over for a few extra bucks.

The average workers salary nationwide in America should be at least $50 an hour now but thanks to our greedy pig society and our brainwashed acceptance that CEOs and other higher ups MUST be paid millions of dollars for any work they do, we dont get that amount. We get the bare minimum and better take it before an illegal is hired to do the job.

Reed Hastings is a POS. He dumped 1000 shares of NFLX every week up until the price change announcement. Should be investigated.

Is there required disclosure on all amounts, or just amounts above a certain value?
Seems pretty dumb if it's #2 if it lets you get away with that sort of crap.
