Hmmm Are these pre tested rejects? I know these guys have sold some over clocked chips on E*ay before (but not on their own website). Anyone buy one yet and get a good overclocker?

They're not pre-tested, but they're confirmed to be cb0 because the S-spec is printed on the box.

Since the retail and OEM versions are the same price this isn't that bad. However, after the recent price cut, 700s are selling for $214 in volume and a $25 markup isn't so great when you can get one without it.

I got my SL45Y cb0 for $215 though via the Onvia "hassle"... I dunno about you but I don't mind waiting for a check and getting another 10% off...

They have free shipping too and are a confirmed reputable seller (Onvia not cpusforless)

very tempting. Sucks that Onvia is only 3 miles away from my apartment! This is a good non tax alternative. Although the longer I wait the cheaper they get.

Onvia update..
The Onvia price went down to $239

239 - 25 = 214
214 - 10% = $192.60 - free shipping

Saw it in another thread, and most are cB0.

I would not order from a company that doesn't post a telephone number. Also there is no option on the website to cancel an order.

Some thing wrong here. I ask them how much the tax and CPUSFORLESS charge me 8 1/2 % tax!!! I live in San Diego and we only paid 7 1/2 % here. I ask them why and they never response me back. I also ask if all their CPUs are brand new and CPUSFORLESS never answer my question and they don't have a phone number I can call either. This web site is coming out off a garage type of business and all you can communicate with them is thru a personalize e-mail. This type of website is worst than SHOPSS !! When you order from them if they like you you are lucky and get the order if they don't like you, you can't do any thing about it because CPUSFORLESS has no address and no phone number. I was wandering the 8 1/2% tax is every pay the government!!

I live in Riverside and the tax is 7.75%. But sometimes when I buy stuff from places in Orange County, the tax jumps up to 8.25%. Haven't figured it out yet.

When you pay sales tax you are paying 2 or 3 taxes...
There is a base state sales tax, then a county tax, and sometimes a local town tax as well. This is why in places such as New York City there is 8.25% sales tax, but in a place in upstate NY it's only 7.5%

When you buy something in state, you pay the local tax of the retailer, not your own local tax.

It is true that sealed retail box chips cannot be "pre-tested rejects" in the true since of the word. Let me leave you with a thought, however. If you were in the business of buying retail cbo chips, testing them, and selling them for a profit if they danced, and you got a few crates of retail cbos, tested 7 of them at random, and none of them danced, what would you do with the other 39 chips that were still sealed up, "untested" and brand new, but had the same lot number? :) These things DO tend to run in batches. I bought two C366s at a computer show once. Both danced at 567 default voltage or less. I went back for the rest of the tray (same lot number) and I was not sorry. Could these guys have discovered the same pattern? Just speculating here, but I think I would still be inclined to go with the onvia deal if these guys actually do sell pre-tested chips.

I've ordered twice from cpusforless, the first order was great, but I've had nothing but headaches from the second order. I cancelled my second order via telephone messages and email, but they still shipped it. So I contacted them, and they told me to send it back for a full refund. I sent it back, and 4 weeks later still no refund on my credit card. I've contacted my credit card company and explained the whole thing to them, and sent them a copy of the delivery confirmation of the return package, so hopefully everything works out. I'd personally never order from them again.

What spec on the box are you referring to?

KRAUT, on the outside of the box is the label with all the info, including the s-spec. For example, when I got mine from Onvia it said SL45Y on the box so I knew it was cb0 because all SL45Ys are cb0.
