GTXP: problem ..sound is low

Just installed a hercules game theaters, but when I try maxing out the volume controls on the computer and on the rack..the volume is still pretty low ...any suggestions ? I'm using Windows 98SE and i just downloaded the newest drivers for it.....

Install the latest drivers from the website. I had this problem when I used the CD drivers.

does it matter if i use the main/front output or the phones output ? I seem to get alittle more volume using phones

also....when I try to play counterstrike .....the sound goes off for some reason .....
