Perfectly valid view. I bet that still wont stop a few other 7970 owners from buying one.Your post/response/Nvidia cheer leading is even more Yawn worthyD:.
It's my own view.
Why should I upgrade from an overclocked 7970 to this overpriced thing??

Its hard to have a logical debate when there's people defending a massive price premium for a ~15% gain over a Ghz (or even cheaper factory OC 7970s for $359), even vs a 680 its not stellar. People like that, you cannot debate with because they've already decided, NV is the best, regardless, and they are more than eager to pay whatever NV charges.
So no matter what, Titan is awesome sauce and the 780 is pure win.
The reality is that AMD's focus on upcoming game consoles has [directly or indirectly] resulted in them missing their yearly refresh cycle for high end GPU's (among other things), so NVIDIA benefits from having less intense competition for high end single GPU's for many months to come.
I play it at Ultra settings at 1600p without AA and it never drop below 60FPS. Not really a good argument there.
This.
Actually, they said they felt they had the best cards, but the public generally perceived them as not as good as nVidia. I think that's a fair assessment. They didn't feel a refresh would be worth it until they addressed that, so they are working to upgrade their image. Better dev relations, addressing the frame-time issues, and crossfire were higher up on the list of priorities. Obviously, simply having faster hardware at a better price hasn't garnered them market share. The "image upgrade" is Roy Taylor's responsibility.

Anyone else notice how the radeon is owning the geforces in the frame-time/latency stakes using FCAT in the Techreport review?
Is there a valid reason why they couldn't do both? Simply allowing Nvidia to release the Titan and GTX780 without reply is hardly going to make people sit up and think, "hmm, maybe AMD are as good as Nvidia". HD 7790 Bonaire is a scaled up low end card that beats its predecessor the 7770 by ~30%. Could AMD have upscaled Bonaire to get a similar boost over HD 7970?
Let me make this clear. GTX780 and Titan are absolutely stunning cards, they just aren't worth the premium IMHO.
What a dweeb. Classic small man syndrome Shows he's got money, but no class. There are far better vehicles for less than 1/2 the price. It's not even a good looking Ferrari.

Nobody is running around championing frame times anymore now that nVidia can compete in the old fashioned FPS department again. Who needs "slower but smoother" when you can have "faster and more expensive".
This is really pathetic. A total lash out. Issues abound and run deep with you.
"He's got money, but no class"???? Who has no class, 3DVagabond?
As if the CEO and presidents of all other huge corporations drive around a Ford Focus or Toyota Prius. What do you think Hector or Paul drives? Or even Rory?
Don't take this post as my vindication of Nvidia pricing. I think it's ridiculous, but at the same time, people are eating them up. So, do I condemn Nvidia for the gouge prices or do I respect their foresight for correctly knowing what the market will bear?
I can tell you that as a consumer, I'm pretty bummed about these prices.

I really don't understand why people are so concerned with what GPU other people buy.
Results looked mixed to me. I guess it depends on the game. In the Guru3d review, all games latencies tests had Nvidia as the clear winners. How did you arrive at that conclusion? From what I saw, Titan/780 were nearly always ahead. The only one to trail behind by a bit was the 680 which is an EOL product now.

I made no mention of pricing. Just his choice of cars. I could honestly care less about how much people have to pay for nVidia cards.

What's the point of releasing another series with immature drivers and reduced clocks? That's basically what they've been doing by being first to market every generation and it hasn't seemed to do a whole lot for them. Especially if they have to sell more expensive to produce hardware (Tahiti vs. GK104) for less money.
You sure did:
"There are far better vehicles for less than 1/2 the price."
This is what I mean. Wake up.
Clearly you've got no idea how it works do you?
This is why people will always rail on you. When you make statements like these....but at the same time, people are eating them up.
A 2nd 7970 would give a higher FPS but worse performance.

Where is the evidence or sales figures that people are ''eating them up''??
