Im impressed... About the same performance gap as previous gens but this time Nvidia also has the upper hand on every other metric except for compute which gamers dont care about anyway

Just need to see OC results now

Better than I expected. This time it only took 2 months and a half. I can't even think what a GK110 would have scored but given the state of PC gaming it's not really needed.

Wow this thing is like 2% better than the 7970 where you really need it:

30" High-Resolution on BF3, Crysis and Metro

lol Who cares if it has 200 fps in HAWX2 and Dirt3, when its slower at 1600p than a 7970 in Metro and Crysis.

Yeah same here. Blah card in itself. Also, wondering if the gtx wil be ocing as high as the 79xx do??? Especially if the hot clocks are 1500mhz or whatever.

But, theres still much to be seen.....

Too bad that Hawx 2 and Cataclysm make up most of that difference. Take those two out and Nvidia's lead takes a nosedive.

Knowing how nvidia cards have oc'ed in the past I'd imagine it'll overclock to the moon.

I love how everybody is taking these as factual. What makes this any different than any of the other "leaked" things we have seen over the last 6 months. Its not like its hard to create the graphs shown.

I will without my judgment until actual reviews are actually posted on actual review sites.

Ya, pretty much. Neither of these cards is fast enough for those DX11 games at 2560x1600 @ 60 fps. Overclocking is required. Now we just need an OC vs. OC review.

They were hosted on their webpage. While their testing methods are highly questionable, the leak itself seems legitimate.

I don't think so. As far as I know, these were only the images leaked, not the text. However, Fudzilla does report a $499 price (grain of salt of course).

That's unfortunate, but completely logical.

The performance is great, but check out the power consumption. It looks to be under a 7970 on load. Idle temp is good, but the load temp of 79C has me worried about OCing on the stock cooler. I'll be under water, but the claims of hitting high OC's on the stock cooler may not pan out.

Probably because they look a lot like other Tom's review graphs. If we were a month out it would be hard to believe, but that's not the case. If the chatter about the NDA lifting with 48 hours is true, it's pretty likely sites are getting their media up in preparation for going live.

Seems legit to me.

I'm reserving final judgement, but these seem plausible. If someone was going to fake the tom slides they would do just a few. We have almost 50 slides here. That would take forever to create.

The original links were hosted directly on Tom's site. I don't see how they could be fake.

Yay for leaks, looking forward to some in depth reviews for a more clearer picture and different games. Hope these prices plummet.

we just need an OC vs. OC review.

I bet the 7970 takes the cake on that. Overclocking and High-res / multi-screen will go to the 7970.

However, the GTX680 is FLYING at 1680x1050 and 1920x1080. With all Nvidia's other advantages like dx11 performance, MSAA performance and their awesome drivers and feature set, this will be the higher selling card for sure.

For the super enthusiasts that want Crysis 2 native res on a 30" with deep pockets, 7970's will shine.

Good thing folks who bought 7970's early arent going to be out $200 looking for a refund check from Ati! heheheh

Looking solid for 1080P, will be great for gamers if the $499 price is true.

umm what? which way is it? better or worse?

any why is the 680 better in directx 11 (more so then 2%) yet slower in directx 9?

personally, I would care more about directx 11 than 9... I just don't understand the tests...

edit:
all in all it looks like they trade blows at 1600p... will be interesting to see how the 680 shapes up after the drivers mature

either way, I will have 3 on the way as soon as they come out

I'd say it'd be better than whats currently available but not ideal. 1080p is usually semi budget gamer territory. They'll be looking for cards in the $300 range.

Impressive results. Any idea when they'll have something in the $300 range? I'm assuming that they'll perform just as well against the competition at that level and $300 is closer to what I'd like to spend when upgrading.
