so i have a 7750 be oc too..3.0ghz completly stable and i get hug bottle necks maxed out on mw2 on 1280x1024 sometimes drops to 60fps ...and unless on all low just cause will not go over 35 fps neither will battle field bad company 2 is this a graffics card problem or am i really bottlenecking that bad sould i return the card?
 
well a 7750 is a little poky and will certainly hold back cpu intensive games like BC 2. even with E8500 at 3.16 I would drop below 30 quite a bit and the E8500 is certainly stronger than a 7750 oced to 3.0. yeah at only 1280 if you didn't just make a massive gpu upgrade then you certainly might not notice much difference in some games.

1. Does your motherboard support PCIe 2.0?
2. Are you using the card in a PCIe x16 slot?
3. PSU information?
 
Turn the resolution down (1024x768) and put all the settings in the games on low,
then tell us how it runs.
Use something like "fraps" to see you fps.
Full system specs will help us help you.
How much ram you running? 2 gb?
psu wattage and brand.
 
Bad Company 2 is one of the many newer games that loves and almost demands a quad for smooth game play. Your probably cpu limited, even the original Phenom X4 everyone deemed as trash is passing up much faster clocked Core2 Duo processors in some of the new threaded games.
 
a 7750 is not a slow CPU but its also not really up to the task of keeping a modern GPU fed. It is your problem.

Trust me on this as my CPU upgrade path over the last 2 years has gone like this

AMD 7750 @3Ghz -> AMD Phenom 2 940BE @3.6Ghz -> Intel i7 930@4Ghz

I noticed a gain in fps with every upgrade. I was running a ATI 4890 @ 1 Ghz when i went from the 7750 to the Phenom II and noticed a large gain in framerate in most games, the biggest difference was in minimum framerates which in some cases were 5-10fps higher after the upgrade to a quad.

I would save up for a CPU upgrade as with a bios update you may even be able to grab a 1055T and drop in a 6 core for $200.
 
That cpu should have no problems pushing that video card to playable frames at typical resolutions. That cpu is actually good as far as dual core performance is concerned. If you have a proper mobo see if you can unlock the other 2 cores or at least a third core. That should definitely dispell whether its a gpu problem or not.

Maybe see if you can get your ram one speed grade higher. Example from 667 mhz to 800mhz. Then see what improvment, if any you can get then. Or even better see about doing some kind of small oc on that 460 card and see what the numbers look like.

Theres many ways to check for a bottleneck, like underclocking/overclocking different components to see how performance responds, ect.. So just pick one your willing to do and see what happens. I would say try doing a higher cpu oc but unless you have ACC you may be stuck in that 3ghz range.
