Hello world,

My GTX 980 is sitting on a asus 170i pro motherboard. When i run Furmark, i get arround 60 FPS, on 1080. If i swap my GFX into me friends PC, he gets arround 80 FPS. I tryed too swap power supply and the monitor. Also i disabled USB 3.1 support and various other Bios settings, no luck. Please help :S - Bios is updated and ofc all drivers and stuff.

Best regards,

Morten

Make sure v-sync is disable in your setup. If it's capping at 60, that be my first guess.

EDIT: Also, it can be CPU bottlenecked depending on the setups.

You may want to run 3DMark or something to compare and see if your system is really underperforming. Knowing your other computer specs would also help.

Maybe he has better CPU and/or memory. Two different configurations will provide two different results. Heck, sometimes just the bloatware on the OS can slow down the system and have a big difference. I've seen people with tons of background programs and stuff, tons of crapware who get much worse performance than a light OS.
