Longer answer. I imagine they would both be fine at 4k but why the hell are you pairing a 970 with a 4k monitor?

If they are not you could always turn the resolution down in game and not see any difference.

I really need to give remastered another go. I tried it a few days after release and it was lagging horribly for me over here in Aus.

I have an i5-4690k @ 4Ghz
GTX 970 - 4GB
500GB m.2 SSD
16Gb 1866 RAM (Dual Channel)

Is this enough for me to comfortably play 'remastered' 4K games such as StarCraft:Remastered and Age of Empires: Definitive Edition ?? I have ZERO INTEREST in playing ANY 3D first person shooter games. Would a 'Gsync' 4K be a factor?

Thanks for any input.

The GTX970 supports HDMI 2.0 which brings 4K@60hz, so you should be fine. You don't need Gsync for 2d games.

Are you going for a 4k tv or monitor?
I play SC:remastered on a 50" 4K Hisense TV, so for gaming I'd recommend a 40"~55" 4K TV
