Your cards are insane overkill with that CPU for BF3. Those cards are getting murdered. Can't comment on the other games.

yea that's way overkill, not to mention pricey.

i had my 920 OC'd to 4.0ghz and my single 7970 would bottleneck in some games.

Curious what games were those?

i'm looking to upgrade my 6950 to a 7970 Ghz and I happen to be at 4Ghz but with 2 more cores than the 920.

I'm thinking about joining in on the 780 hype, will a 3570k @ 4.6 ghz bottleneck it?

a single 780? no except for a few odd cases from poorly optimized games or the 1 or 2 games that actually utilize HT with 4 cores. 780 sli at 1920 it would maybe in a few more cases but your cpu is about as fast as it gets.

that's good to hear, but honestly now that I think about it, I would need a new case, psu and if I wanted a better gaming experience a 1440p monitor. Not to mention I don't even have an ssd... My 7870 has been able to max out games at 1080p no aa with no issues so far, so what would be the point?
Maybe I will just hold off on it until my pc and my body is ready.
