I'm about to buy a gtx 750 ti low profile gigabyte, but before I would like to read your opinion if it's going to work. My pc is a dell optiplex 9020 sff this is the reason why I have to use de x4 slot and low wattage psu.
right now I'm using a 30w tpd gpu on the pcie 2.0 x4 flawlessly (Radeon Hd 8490).
this is the gpu that I'm looking for http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5160#ov
The slot is, by the data sheet, is an pcie2 x16 wired as x4. Is an x4 size slot but open in the end.
this is my actual gpu
I've read that the 750 ti worked even on 240w psu but on full x16 pcie
I've read that the 750 ti worked on x16@x4 with a little performance loss.
But I haven't read both at the same time lol

Cause even the one slot Msi low profile version doesn't fit on the x16 pci, it's cooler is too big.

Well, if you don't need the 750ti performance, you could get an R5-240 / HD8570 card which would be a jump in performance and is also a GCN DX12 card.

Or maybe a GT730 GDDR5 card.

There is also an r7-250 GDDR5 card.

The skinniest 750 class card seems to be the Zotac LP GTX750 if you can find it.

I did find a few forum posts that say the card you listed does work in the 9020SFF.

That is a bad motherboard design. The slots should be switched around. Even if a graphics could fit, the HSF's airflow will be blocked causing the the GPU to burn out.

Awesome! Would you send me a link to those forums please? I'm choosing this gpu cause is hackintosh compatible. Thanks!

Yay, on this model is a wrong design, other dell has the pci slots swapped and you can place a gpu without issues. It's a shame since 9020 SFF has a great processor.

My bad, those were 990 and 790 sff systems, which have the slots arranged opposite of yours.

This is why I build my systems instead of buying OEM ones so I don't run into these kind of problems.
