Where are the 1200 core 7970's?
Where are the 1200 core 7970's?
they are just stating the listed specs for the gtx680 and gtx670.Ouch

I just have to ask. What 670 did they use that only boosts to 980 core? Even my vanilla goes to 1080
Testing BF3 in single player makes no sense, let alone canned benchmarks.
Here is the 7970 matching or beating the GTX 680 when both are max oc'd:

Frankly the best value in the $400-500 bracket is still the GTX 670 so this is just halo e-peen comparisons.

So its still not enough to beat a vanilla 680 with this,no surprises here.An oced 680 like Asus 680 DC II Top will destroy it.
Don how frequently u change ur card, just asking ?![]()
a tie in BF 3
a measly .5 fps win for 7970
a loss for 7970 in Skyrim
a win for 7970 in Deus Ex
and MANY 7970 cards will not do 1260 while probably every 680 out there can hit a boost of 1228 or more.
I agree but it is a overclocked edition right?I think they're about the same speed. As far as OC, I dunno. IMO the 7970 scales better, especially once you hit 1200 or so, and isn't voltage locked (better for water)
Like I said before this changes nothing. 670 is by far the better value for 400$, unless the 7970 is 400$ or something things remain the same as they were before.
what? the oced 680 and oced 7970 are both getting 63.4 fps.A tie in BF3 toyota? Are you reading the same graph?
