Hi,

I have two questions about running 2x GTX 670 cards. I have one GTX 670 card now and looking to add a second one. I purchase a new monitor running at 2560x1600. Will a 700 watt power supply be adequate? I have a Sandy Bridge I7-2600K running at 4.2 ghz, 1x 256 SSD and 2 x 7200 2TB hard drives in a raid 1. Also, my motherboard can run one pci express card at x16 or two at x8. Will there be a bottle neck issue running the two cards on x8 slots? Thanks.

The performance loss of running at 8x vs. 16x is negligible (<1%). The GTX 670 is a very power efficient card and a 700W (unless it's some cheapo generic) should be more than sufficient to run everything + overclocking.

Thanks for the information. It helped me a lot. I'm glad I don't need to upgrade my PSU or motherboard. The video cards are expensive enough :)
