If you go for 3-way SLI, you may want to go up to 570s.

The Radeon 7970 seems like a great card. I've had all Nvidia cards until last week when I went to a pair of 7970s in crossfire. (Seems to be cheaper and faster than a pair of 580s would be.)

I had to search the internet for a bunch of lame tweaks to get everything working the way I wanted it to, but I'm enjoying my all-ultra Skyrimming with no visual or framerate issues.

You could go for 3-way SLI on the 580s too:)

I would not go for an SLI GTX 570 setup because the 2.5GB version of those cards have a poor performing cooler and will most likely overheat in SLI.

I think the best option will be tri-fire 6950 2GB's because that will give you the least microstutter and the highest performance.

You cannot put GTX 560 Ti's in tri-sli. They don't have enough connectors.

I would not recommend anything with less then 2GB of VRAM for eyefinity. There will be severe bottlenecking with anything less then 2GB at those extreme resolutions.

Neither. Wait for GK104 which should be out shortly. To buy an "old" card now is silly unless you get a really good deal (for instance by buying used ones).
