Hello, I have a question regarding ASUS GTX 560Ti Windows Experience Index. Recently I have upgraded my aging 8800GTX into GTX 560Ti.

Right now system is

AMD 940
GTX 560Ti
SSD OCZ 60G
OCZ 4GB DDR2 1066
Windows 7 Professional 64bit

After installing new card with the latest drivers available, i jumped straight into games. So far I had time to run only few benchmarks but while playing games i see 2-2.5 improvement in frame rates , which is where it should be. One thing that puzzles me is Windows Experience Index. 8800GTX scored 6.9 with above system configuration, while 560Ti scored 6.0 on the same system. I imagine that Windows Experience Index is not a true measure of graphic performance(FPS in games is) but it bothers me why this happens. Is my 560Ti bugged? I don't have more 560 cards to compare for reference, let me know what you guys get.

You said it yourself, WEI is not an accurate measure of graphics performance. Don't sweat over it.

There are numerous bugs that can 'quirk' your score in WEI .
As part of the video tests it does something with .wmv - which can be influenced by codec packs. Did you have dual monitors hooked up during the test ? If you did, disable, unplug the 2nd monitor and re-run the index.

Mine got a WEI of 7.something - make sure to reinstall your drivers and stuff.

Do you mean you got an extra 2-2.5fps or 2-2.5 TIMES as many fps as your old card.

Some newer DX11 cards actually have lower 2D scores than their predecessors, though. Something about optimizations for 3D work, and the assumption that 2D performance was already "good enough."

Could be having an effect.

Off the top of my head the card should probably score 7.7 to 7.9. So yeah something is bugged. a GTX 470 scores a 7.8, gtx 480 7.9 and my current card a 5870 2gb scored a 7.8. Are you sure the card is ramping up to 3D clocks when the test was run?

I checked yesterday and got a 7.8.
But that score doesn't mean anything imo.

My GTX460 1GB OC (715) card scores a 6.9, my Radeon HD4850 at stock scored a 7.3. I don't understand it either.
