Hi,

I bought a PC with the following config for 375$

Intel Sandy Bridge, Core i5 2300 2.80GHz , GTX 560 TI* 2 gb, 4GB DDR3, HDD 1 tb, 23' monitor full hd, ASRock H61iCafe motherboard.

i have 2 questions :
1) Is this config ok for gaming considering the price and by gaming i mean Star Wars Battlefront for example
2)when i check my video card appears as GTX 560 although i was told it was 560 TI. So either i was fooled or is it possible that it's 560TI and only appears in device manager as 560?

Thanks

What does the Nvidia Control Panel say, under system information?

GTX 560 Ti is not a great card, but can be used for some games.

Check with GPU-Z to see what card you have (post a screenshot).

Did any of the 560's ship with 2GB memory? I've got a 560Ti 448 and it only has 1.25GB...

There were 4 different 560 models...

GTX 560 SE 1GB, GF114 with 288 CUDA cores
GTX 560 1GB or 2GB, GF114 with 336 CUDA cores
GTX 560 Ti 1GB or 2GB, GF114 with 384 CUDA cores
GTX 560 Ti 448 1.25GB, GF110 with 448 CUDA cores

 I tried to search it but didn't come up with anything...

Post GPU-Z screenshot. 96Firebird is on the money. I am guessing you got GTX 560 2GB. GPU-Z core count will confirm that for you. There's about a 10% difference between the 560 and 560Ti, so probably not worth your time of hassling about it. They would be similar to 750Ti perhaps.
