Now I did previously post asking if the 5850 would be a worthy upgrade from the 8800 GTS 640mb and the general consensus was yes. However, with the release of the GTX 460 I feel as if my options have changed. I'm was set on the GIGABYTE 1GB GTX 460 for $230, but then I spotted the MSI GTX 470 for $300. I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend $300 quite yet, but I was wondering if the $70 was worth it, especially at a 1680 x 1050 resolution. I don't consider SLI 460's an option, because i feel like i'd have to upgrade my PSU/mobo.
Current Specs:
8GB DDR2 RAM @ 800MHZ
Intel QX6700 (Core 2 Duo Quad Core Extreme @ 2.7GHZ)
Abit IP-90 SLI Mobo (neForce 650i chipset)
700W PSU (Some Thermaltake I got in 2008, probably not the best)
500GB 7200 RPM Seagate
nVidia 8800 GTS 640mb
