I wish my gtx460 1 gig would hurry up and arrive. :( I ordered the Asus DirectCU top 800mhz stock from amazon for $210 on Aug. 8th. Delivery date was estimated at Sept. 2nd, but was updated today with a firm date of Sept. 7th. I am going to overvolt and overclock this card as far as it will go!

I gave my previous card (gtx260 216) to my brother but I ran close to a dozen benchmarks before popping it out, so I'll be sure post all the benchmark comparisons between my old gtx260 216 and the new gtx460 1 gig at both stock and overclocked.

yeah, sorry I let the team down like this... but hey, at least the n00bs out there will be pumped by the potential improvement in vantage (tm)!!!

when you get yours check out power savings. I didn't read the gtx 460 release articles b/c I had no intention of buying one, but it seems that this thing ramps down to .875 v, 50 mhz core, and 67 mhz mem when in "low power" state. that makes 5xxx power saving clocks look downright wasteful! I'm curious if they all do this.

Mine falls close to that range too. Not sure why 460 does so poorly in Vantage. I wouldn't worry about it since it's not a game. ;)

Yup. My 470 does the same. 50.5 core, 101 shader core, 67 mhz memory.

Check the tests and see which tests performs low compared to a similar card like the GTX 465, to see if you are shader bound, texture bound or etc.

yeah, just seems weird though that a gtx 460 that is above a stock 470 in everything but mem bandwidth gets ~ 50% lower score...very odd.
