GTX 295 - Seemingly low 3dmark06 scores

All,

I recently upgraded to a GTX 295 from a GTX 280. My GTX280 got 16600 3dmark06 score and the GTX 295 gets 17780.

Just wondering if this seems right? Seems like I should be seeing a bigger improvement, but maybe it's just my over expectations..

Also, for whatever reason, I can't run 3dmark Vantage in Vista 64 bit as it tells me 1280x1024 is available.. 1280x1024 works fine in XP though.. Very strange.

My specs are:

E6850 C2D - OC'd to 3.7ghz
4gb Mushkin DDR2-1066
BFG GTX 295

Thoughts?

3Dmark06 is pretty much a CPU test nowadays!
If you drop in a 4.5GHz Quad, I am sure your score will go over 20k.
