GTX 280 - Manual way to switch 2D/3D mode?

Right now I'm running a 2 monitor solution, so for whatever reason, nVidia decided that it is necessary to have the card run at full clock all the time when using dual monitors. Now I am fiddling with RivaTuner, but I can't seem to find the right settings, is there any way to change from 2D/3D mode manually?
 
No the 2D/3D profiles are all driver-level. So if you're in 3D it sets a 3D profile, if you're in 2D it sets the 2D profile. I just use EVGA Precision, a lite version of RT, and set up a low power profile and a game profile with OC'd speeds.
