After about 2 months, my EVGA stepup was finally approved.

Should I do it?

Guess it would depend on what the cost was. I've looked before for a MB but didn't seem like it was worth it.

I'd think you would come out ahead simply selling the 260 and doing the bing cashback/rebate thang instead. Unless you paid a silly amount for the 260.

I paid $200, the Step Up costs $340.

So yea, I guess I'd have to sell my card for $160 and then buy a new one for $500, but then, then, the buyer of my card doesn't get warranty.

Is that the price shipped? If you want't the card buy it as long as you think it's a fair deal. Yep maybe you could save a couple of bucks going thru bing and going thru the hassle of selling your current card. But then again it could take weeks to sell the card and months to get the bing!

I'd say to go for it. I had two EVGA 260/216s before, but the 480 will give you better minimum, average and max FPS, better image quality, the obvious DX11 support and a great incentive to go SLI with their newest scaling performance.

You'd be happier with the 480. Good luck!

Yea I might get the 480 later, but I'll keep the 260 or sell it... stepup isn't really worth it after all the costs are figured in.
