I upgraded my PSU and video card. The new video card is a 260 GTX c216, the old is a 640mb 8800GTS. I plugged it in and computer boots into windows, just no signal to the monitor and no fan movement. I have the MSI P35 Neo2 board. I need to get a different motherboard? will my RAM work on the new motherboard? What is best chipset right now? No dual video cards in my future if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Did you plug the two PCIE power plugs into the video card? Might as well start with the most obvious.

Yes, everything is installed correctly. The P35 is compatible with this video card? It is not a pcie 2.0 board I found out.

It should work.

I had a similar issue when I replaced my P35 with a P45 board. My 9800GX2 at first would not display anything. After trying just about everything, physically pulling the power plug out of my monitor and plugging it back in (while the system was running) just got it to magically work for me.

Two, not one but two, bad 6 pin PCIe adapters. I fixed them and now everything is running fine. My 3DMARK Vantage score nearly doubled with this video card. from P6385 with the 8800GTS to P11953 with the GTX 260 C216. And that's with no overclocking.
