Things will only stay in stock for about 30 seconds. Better have text on to order immediately!!! G1 was in stock now it's not

No kidding. It went out of stock when I refreshed the page after posting. What did newegg get, like two of them? I saw the same happen with the MSI Gaming X, which is really shocking given that card is $720. And then it OC'ed worse than the Founders Edition card when JayzTwoCents did his Gaming X review.

Just snagged a Zotac GTX 1080 FE from Newegg. Had gift cards and already have my EK Fullblock so I decided to make the move. More to follow when I receive it.

Never mind. Make that if you don't get it within 10 seconds upon text notification (and I mean checked out and paid for) it's gone.

Don't use notifications, they don't work on these types of cards. They are only accurate with standard shipments sent, not rush shipments.

Nice! Be sure to keep us posted on how well it overclocks under water. Baring its price, the GTX 1080 is a great card.

Just saw micro center is selling the 6700k for 289.99. Damn got mine when it was 314.14 during 3/14 day... That's how long I've been sitting in this build 😛

Finally.... Is it with a free mobo? I got my 4770k with mobo bundle. These deals have sucked currently I feel bad for new cpu byers. I got a steal I feel with haswell

not free mobo, but mobo will save you an addition $20 bucks I think. So it's the cheapest around. Tomorrow is the last day for the 289.99 deal for the i7 6700k. 314.14 is still cheap i think, from where it's been.

Gigabytes G1 1080 is boosting to 1960mhz out of the box, no overclock. 2 reviewers on newegg are boasting. 649.00$

Got mine from Newegg yesterday and can confirm that, boost clock hovers around 1949-1960 depending on the game. Runs cool at default fan speeds, around 70-73C. Significantly quieter than my old 980 Ti SC ACX as well.

Mine tops out at 2063 MHz overclocking. 2100 was stable up until I tested The Witcher 3... that game always seems to expose instability in overclocks for me, moreso than benchmarks. My old 980 Ti would run at 1500 in a bunch of games but not TW3, had to back down to around 1450.

What's the difference in performance between your 1080 overclocked and your 980 Ti overclocked?

Around 20% in most games I've played so far. In TW3 it got me up to a stable 60+ FPS at 3440x1440, before I would average around 50.

Noticed a big improvement in Hitman (DX12). Went from around 45 FPS to 60 locked, so about a 30-35% increase there.

So can we finally conclude that pascal was a paper-launch now ?
No stock to be found.. price gouging in full effect

Who would have guessed that o_0

No, not by the traditional meaning. They've produced (and sold!) a fair bit of stock. Precisely how much is very hard to tell 🙂

People just have no patience nowadays though 🙁 Hence daft initial sales surges, attendant price gouging etc.

You are underestimating the number of people mashing F5 on nowinstock. The 10 series are flying off the shelves much like the 980 and 970. The other day Newegg offered 100 G1s in a mouse bundle and it sold out almost instantly.

It's not much different than other launches in my opinion. 980 Ti, or AMD 5870 were very difficult to find in stock for around a month.

I got my G1 Gaming for $650 though with a free mouse (worth $40) so pretty much got it close to MSRP 🙂

How can you tell this is not a paper launch?
I reckon we will probably see when 480 launches. If it has the same o.o.s problems, that means it is flying off the shelves, or that AMD did a paper launch?

Well for one we can track the historical stock situation.

Paper launches don't have stock coming in every day to each store. The supply isn't as strong as it was with the GTX 980 Ti, but Nvidia was also sitting on a pile of GM200 dies ready to go.

For a real paper launch, look at this:

Only one store with recent stock, rest out of stock for days.
