GTX 1080 Availability thread

I checked at a supplier i usually buy my equipment here in the Netherlands.

There is a delivery time of 4 workdays for the 1080 from asus. it costs 799 euro.
The ASUS 1080 strix OC is 899 euro. That is 1002 US dollar. D:
1080 cards from other brands like EVGA and Gigabyte are all around 800 euro.

EDIT:
With the exception of the vanilla 1080 from asus, all are not available.

Sorry. Card not available by the moment.. seems that FinFet ended to be a dissaster that makes the node shrink lackluster.

In Europe seems that FE cards are available without significant issues. Stocks aren't impresive, but if somebody want to buy there are no problems.

Nope it's the usual price gouging by retailers, similar to 290/x launch & the subsequent mining boom, & Nvidia likely at fault for not having enough cards to sell.

Will the 1080 be able to drive my uw 3440x1440? Surprisingly low amount of reviews that'll review cards at that res...

Should be good for that ultra wide resolution, it's what three fifths of UHD (resolution) so wouldn't be much of a problem for the 1080. However I'd advise anyone buying that card to wait for the prices to settle down a bit & remember do not to pay the FE tax 😀

I do like to turn things to the max... And scale back slowly starting with AA

Newegg just listed the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 1080, but no price yet. It also only has an 8-pin for the power, so I guess G1 Gaming aren't the killer PCB cards like they were in the 900 series. XTreme Gaming I guess is the new G1 Gaming.

Cambridge MA Microcenter had two of the Gigabyte "Founders Edition" today. Tempting but at $699.00 I'll wait a little longer 🙂
