Ive finished my build and ive got all the parts on the table..

i installed everything properl and eventually got the SLI ready System balloon popup so i enabled it..then rebooted machine..and it said i was now in sli mode.

so i ran 3dmark06 to see how much better my score would be, but i ONLY went up from 11110 to 12555 ....this just seems to me like a real low bump in performance considering the price for the second card.

so my first question, i assume the SLI did do something considering my 3dmark score went up right away. but does it seems kinda low???

second, how can i overclock these cards in SLI? i was using rivatuner before to OC my single GTS, if i apply the new clock settings in RivaTuner, will it over clock both cards? or do i have to set the clocks twice in two different windows?

when i had the single GTS setup i was able to push the card to 650/860. that coupled with a slight overclock of the cpu gave me a grand total of 11777. this is just 800pts shy of my new SLI rig...something seems wrong right???

any help is appreciated guys.

Try uninstalling the drivers, uninstall the cards from device manager and reinstall the latest drivers. Also check you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your mobo. This will get rid of most of the probable causes.

Don't think 3d mark 2006 as a reliable benchmark. It doesnt prove anything. And if you really want to see a difference, I say you're CPU limited.
Disable SLI, run 3d mark 2006 at greater res and maximum details.
Then, enable SLI and run the same settings. The difference should be much bigger.

Remember that part of 3DMark 06 is CPU testing, so you're not going to see as large an improvement in overall score as you would with a pure graphics benchmark. It's better to compare the sub-test scores like Return to Proxycon. For pure self-contained graphics benchmarking, I tend to run the built-in benchmarks in F.E.A.R. or Company of Heroes.

If you're looking for more comprehensive benchmarking for graphics, head on over to Guru3D, they've got lots of choices.

IMO, your scores do not sound so out of whack as to indicate a driver problem. Run some other benchmarks and post your results.
