I dont believe the PS3 version was 360 port as they were released on the same day for both systems, also the PS3 versions has 720P and 1080P.

They can be ports and launch on the same day, as evidenced by several PC games. Here is the article that I was thinking of, seems to run at 640P and "upscale" to 720P and/or 1080P. The 360 version is native 720P instead of 640P.

I'd be willing to bet that a number of console sports games were much worse ports.

Also, Final Fantasy 7 and 8 dont work in Windows using Direct 3D without tons of issues.

And I heard Final Fantasy 11 was just a nightmare for Windows users.

In general Im getting really sick of these crappy PC ports. I gave in and finally got a PS3 mainly for only a few games, GTA4 being one of them (and RE5). Glad I did since it runs great on PS3. Anyways I expected more from Rockstar, seeing as how smooth Vice City and San Andreas ran and played on the PC.

Now that was a horrible port. Awesome game, but horrible port. You didn't really need precision controls in that game though, so it didn't matter as much.
