I hate the save game system every time I uninstall or format I lose my save file
In order to avoid this, create an offline GFWL account. When you reformat or reinstall, you'll have to download something called xliveless which prevents the game from connecting to GFWL. After you do that, you can copy your old save games to the new directory and they should work fine as long as they were created from an offline GFWL account.

If you want to play online, however, you'll have to remove the xliveless fix and add it back again when you want to play single player. The game files won't be deleted without the fix, so simply adding it again will allow you to play them again.

It really is a pain in the ass, though. I wish that GFWL would just die. The idea behind it was good, but it doesn't deliver on any of it's original promises. It has evolved into more of a sort of DRM than anything else. They should at least remove it if you're purchasing from steam; steam already has it's own DRM.

I think GTA in general is a love/hate kinda thing. I'm on the the love side of the fence. It's so gritty while also being able to make me laugh at the same time. The dialogue and voice work is truly top-notch, IMO.

The biker/gay Tony stories do a good job to spruce the gameplay up a bit. Worth playing through for sure.

Well, if they are consistent in regards to what they have done in the past, we'll most likely see a Vice City-like installment next, then something like SA.

GTA 3 - Liberty City
GTA 3 - Vice City
GTA 3 - San Andreas
GTA 4 - Liberty City
??

GTA 4 - Tokyo, Japan
GTA 4 - Wasilla, Alaska

I've recently been having fun with the game just loading up my save file and either following someone around (I get bored because they tend to not do anything so far) or going to the beach in a RWD car and screwing around. As well as going off ramps.

thats some of the best part doing stunts

you should check out some GTA4 stunt videos on youtube

there is some pretty epic stuff on there

I don't know why so many people accuse GTA IV of being too serious. Maybe their slow minds fail to grasp the subtle humour in almost every single scene.

That must be it then. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I'll be back later, going to the slow doctor so I can keep up with your brilliant mind.

So you picked up the GTA series after every developer and their dog has made a clone of it and wonder why there's nothing new? Fail. GTA was the first real sandbox game. GTA4 just expands on the previous ones.

Yeah, I mean I've watched them, but I'm rarely able to pull them off if I try them...much rather just ride around and find jumps for myself. For instance going off of a walkway to a railway car station onto another building. 😀

For once I agree. Not only that, but I absolutely love listening to the radio stations.

Let us know how that works out. :awe:
