So I just just curious who else preordered GTA4 on steam?

I was kinda disappointed that the gift was vice city since I (and probably a lot of other people who preorder) already own it. woulda much rather have 5 bucks off or something but aw well, still really looking forward to it!

I haven't ordered it on Steam, but looking forward to it nevertheless! I hope it'll be released here in India soon enough...:)

Btw, I have to agree that the Vice City gift could be better, people who like playing GTA games must definitely own VC anyway.

I'm thinking about it.

I played Vice City on PS2, so I wouldn't mind trying it on PC, but I wish they included San Andreas instead. I might wait and see how GTA4 is on the PC.

all the GTA games have been the only games that IMO have enough replay value to play over and over.

i still have San Andreas installed. i bought it in 2005 and finally 3 yrs later figured out how to install mods and cars. im playing that as much or more than Crysis or UT3.

the GTA games are games that i will play for yrs to come. thats why im looking forward to GTA4 so much. i basically upgraded my whole system 1 month ago to make sure i could play the game maxed out at high FPS. im getting a new video card from the step up, so if my system can handle GTA4 maxed out, thats all ill care about. cause i prolly wont play any other games for at least 1+ yrs :p :p :p :p

Have you given the MP mod for SA a shot?

http://www.sa-mp.com/

I tried the past MP mods for GTA3 and VC, and they don't even begin to compare with the MP mod for SA. Its a lot of fun. The "Cops and Robbers" servers are the best IMO.

I haven't, but I'll be picking it up on day one. For big releases I still like to have a physical copy.

I plan on getting it on Steam after it drops in price a little. I've waited, what, 9 months after the console release? I can wait a little longer.

As soon as I'm done seeing all I need to see in wotlk... then finishing up deadspace, fallout 3, 007 QOS, and Farcry 2 - I'll probably get GTA 4. :)

I am definitely buying this.

I might go the Steam way or wait and see if Circuit City has any deals. They sometimes have sales on new titles, say $10 off.

The SA-MP mod is pretty sweet. With this having built-in MP, you can figure that mods are going to be that much better because they don't have to do so much work with MP support already there.

I hope my rig runs it nicely at 1680x1050. My 4870 is probably okay, but my CPU is getting a bit slow these days.
