GTA: San Andreas sound problem. Partially cuts off after little while.

Hi guys. I have a sound problem that is really annoying with GTA: San Andreas. After playing the game, the voice sounds cut off. I can hear the background rain or other stuff like the radio in the car, but the voices cut off like anything CJ or anybody else would say. I have Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card and looked for latest drivers, but their latest ones were developed like two years ago or something. Help! Thanks!

go into control panel, Sound and Audio Devices, Advances button under speaker settings, Peformance tab, lower the Hardware Acceleration. if that doesn't fix it, lower it some more. i have to have mine on Basic Accel for the sounds to work properly in San Andreas.
